Plot: "The strawberry on the shortcake, would you eat it first or leave it last?"
This is the question that the story revolves around, depicting single-sided love affairs and the characters' opinions on love, relationships and life. The question shows one's attitude towards love - whether he is passive(always waiting for love to come looking for him) or active(takes the initiative to look for love).
18 year old Irie Manato (Takizawa Hideaki) is constantly being bullied in school and has lost hopes for his future. One day he meets a strange girl named Yui (Fukada Kyoko) and her actions gradually touched his heart. He unknowingly falls in love with her. Yui, however, is in love with Saeki Tetsuya (Kubozuka Yosuke).
Uchiyama Rina plays Sawamura Haruka, Manato's childhood friend who lives in the house opposite of his. She has always been secretly in love with him.
Saeki Tetsuya, 20 years old, has been retained for 2 years despite the fact that he is a very talented and smart student. The reason - he wants to be with Asami Mariko (Ishida Yuriko), his teacher-cum-lover, whenever she is lonely. He feigns heart illness so that his attendance would not be sufficient to allow him to graduate.

Comments: Great drama! I really enjoyed this drama a lot because the plot was real good!! It is realistic and concentrates on teenage/young adult relationships. Highly recommended!
